Our People Make the Difference

10 Jan 2006 – On behalf of the Board of Directors, I would firstly like to wish all of you a happy new year.

The year 2005 has been a year full of challenges. Despite the many obstacles, Nova has made considerable progress towards its objective of being a leader in the provision of innovative software solutions.

Our corporate goal has always been steadfastly to provide organisations, be it government departments or hospitals yearning to improve customer service and thrive profitably, innovative IT solutions - and our goal continues to remain so.

Even with our ready suite of enterprise applications that has been proven to increase productivity, our strength lies in our people who understand customer business processes and using that knowledge, roll-out practical solutions. And there is no better testament to this than our customers’ success stories.

Last year saw one of our projects in the Ministry for Community Development, Youth and Sports (MCYS), Singapore win the prestigious CIO 100 Award, an international recognition for organisations for their boldness and willingness to assume untold risks in the pursuit of significant rewards.

In Penang Adventist Hospital, Malaysia, and the National Skin Centre, Singapore, we have enjoyed extensive publicity with the very successful implementations of Hospital Information Systems.

At the end of 2005, Nova also made a significant breakthrough into the European market with the signing of a contract to implement a project in Norway, specifically Automated Building Plan Check system called FORNAX™.

As you can see, there have been many significant milestones achieved by Nova in 2005. All this would not have been possible without the support from our valued customers, business partners and employees. I wish to take this opportunity to thank all those who were involved in making 2005 a good one.

In this new year, the momentum we have gathered through success stories and smart partnerships, combined with growing demand from the market, provides the basis for significant growth.

With your continued support, I look forward with confidence to a successful outturn to the year.
